Team overview

The history
of our company

In 1947, Merkur Treuhand- und Revisionsgesellschaft mbH – Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft was founded by Dr. Helmut Bohn and Eckhard Wegner. A partnership was also established, which was led by Herbert Bohn, Peter Dollenmayer, and Harald Dambeck at the end of 2016. With Peter Dollenmayer’s retirement as a shareholder in January 2017, long-time employees Burgl Förster and Florian Großhauser joined the firm as partners. In July 2017, our senior partner Herbert Bohn passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness. In the following years, the firm continued to be run by a new team in the spirit of the founders.

The initial focus was on successfully implementing a smooth transition of the mandates. In the following years, numerous internal projects related to digitalization and the associated organizational structure were successfully implemented. As a result, we decided to rename our firm MERKUR TAX & AUDIT, consisting of MERKUR TAX Dambeck Großhauser Förster Partnerschaft mbB, tax advisors, auditors, and certified public accountants, and MERKUR AUDIT GmbH – auditing firm.
